uEnd:Poverty’s One Yoga in the Park was a success yet again – the weather was perfect for the fifth annual event held at Riley Park. Calgarians started showing up bright and early Sunday morning (August 12) ready for some outdoor yoga fun. With 100% of the proceeds going towards U:End projects, this unique fundraising initiative raised over $2,500.
This giant karma yoga event had over 100 people (including Calgary Outdoor Yoga members) attend, practicing yoga together to create an incredible atmosphere full of energy and intention to help end poverty. During practice, musicians Eily Aurora and Trevor Uruski performed, accompanying the yogis with their inspiring tunes.

After practice, attendees took advantage of the sunny weather and enjoyed bevarages, with many relaxing in the grass to chat with friends new and old.
Interested in getting involved with uEnd:Poverty? This coming Saturday (August 18), they will be hosting U:Party. This fundraising event will be celebrating six years and nearly $1 million donated to global poverty-ending projects. Enjoy an evening of amazing music from four great bands – Makeshift Innocent, Jocelyn Alice, Trinity Branshaw and Kris Demeanor. Happening at Flames Central (219 8th Avenue SW), the doors open at 8:00pm.
