PARK gave people a reason to skip the downtown bar scene on Saturday night and head to the southern part of town. The 2014 PARKSHOW took place at the NGA Golf Dome and guests were amazed with the transformation of the space from a leisurely place to hit golf balls in the winter into a fashion Mecca complete with designer pop-up shops, an impressive runway, and a VIP section for guests to mix and mingle. The drinks were delicious, the crowd was full of excitement, and the fashion being displayed was show stopping.

Designers at this year’s PARKSHOW included Coutu Kitsch, EG Forge, Rebecca King, Kazz Clothing, Bano eeMee, Amor Jewelry, CAMP Brand Goods, LUXX RTW, SUKA Clothing, and Malika Couture.

Each designer that presented their collection through the evening brought their very own special concept. The elaborate body chain accessories by Coutu Kitsch wowed the ladies and CAMP Brand’s casual but stylish clothing presented a great solution for people who love being in the outdoors but still like looking good.

EG Forge’s accessories were stellar; anyone on the hunt for a stylish briefcase, backpack or messenger bag must visit Eric Goodwin, the Owner and Designer for EG Forge, who is located in the Devenish Building. There is nothing better than having well-made accessories that you’re happy to sport during your daily routine.

Rebecca King‘s collection was a beautiful blend of rich textures and floral prints. Many of the outfits displayed on the runway had an equestrian feel to them, which went over wonderfully with the local crowd. If you’re on the lookout for fun spring fashion with heavy scarves and colours that pop, then you’ll want to learn more about King’s line.

Suka Clothing also turned heads with their sleek feminine outfits perfect for fashion lovers who like to dress with a bit of an edge. Suka Clothing is inspired with the alter ego in mind and the designers take their cue from music, culture and couture.

As always, the organizers behind PARK did a fantastic job and PARKSHOW 2014 beautifully showcased the brilliant fashion talent we have in Alberta. Be sure to check into the PARK website to learn more about other exciting events happening this year.
