On The Radar: Royal Phoenix Bar

A potential new hotspot is opening its doors Friday night for a special Grand Opening Party. The Royal Phoenix Bar will occupy the space at 5788 Boul. St-Laurent, and promises to be a fresh hangout in Montreal's Mile End. While we don't have full details yet (check back soon), what we do know is that there will be a terrace, some light food offerings – we found mention of poboys and salads on Royal Phoenix Bar's Facebook page – from the kitchen, and that the bar was started by two Montreal Rolly Derby members. Other than that, we're waiting as anxiously as you are for more info about this new joint. PLASTIK PATRIK and LYNNE T are on set to DJ opening night, and it seems like Royal Phoenix Bar has done a decent job in building some before-doors-open hype – after all, they've got us intrigued. We'll update you as soon as we find out more...
