Gourmet food trucks are sweeping the nation thanks to shows like Eat St. and The Great Food Truck Race. While Toronto's a bit farther behind than some more prominent food-truck friendly cities, we nevertheless have a few awesome ones to check out. Friday Nights Launch at the Hoxton
The Hoxton opened two Saturdays ago, and in a short stretch has already amassed considerable buzz. Tonight they're launching their Friday nights, and doors will be opening for the first-ever instalment. It's extra notable because tonight's event is hosted by yours truly, and I couldn't be more psyched for what will surely become the hottest new Friday night ticket. Yes, ladies and gents, the Fake Prom is back, and we're stoked for what has become one of the summer's most-anticipated events. This year sees the Palais Royale providing the backdrop for the event, and the theme set to military for this satire-inspired dance party. There were several delays, but Hardy's Hogtown Brasserie finally had its soft launch last week with a pared down menu and quiet rumblings rippling throughout Toronto's foodie scene.
