Coming Soon: Perogy Boyz Food Truck

We talked the other day about Canada's growing obsession with food trucks, and Calgary seems to be one of the most notable Canadian cities really doing it right. Gourmet restaurants are taking to the streets in droves, and we couldn't be more excited. Coming in August are the Perogy Boyz, a side-project from the guys behind Calgary favourite Taste Restaurant.

Who doesn't love a good perogie? Seriously. These starch-filled wonders hail from Eastern Europe and are the perfect comfort food, especially when topped with bacon and sour cream. Curtis Berry and Owner/Manager Brendan Bankowski and Chef Shaun Greenwood of Taste Restaurant are taking to the streets to bring Calgarians these pockets of heaven at curbside. While traditional perogies will be on-menu, we're told that some not-so-standard flavours will be on display as well.

Perogy Boyz will also be serving up some traditional Ukranian and Polish cuisine, like housemade sausages. While we're glad there's variety, really, the reason to pay attention and track down this food truck will be the phenomenal perogies we're sure will serve as our newest addiction.
