Since 1966, Butterfield & Robinson has been on the cutting edge of innovation in terms of active, top quality, and engaging travel. Now the company introduces a new chapter in the evolution of active travel with Bistro – a series of trips that seem designed for the social, active and adventure seeking young professional. Bistro trips are crafted to reflect the caliber and creativity of the Butterfield and Robinson brand, with its current tastes for simple luxury and local authenticity, but at a price attainable to the typical YP. Like a 5-star restaurant opening a more casual bistro next door, Butterfield & Robinson has added Bistro to its portfolio. The elements of Bistro trips are a tad more modest, with a more laidback experience and trips priced to reflect this. Bistro departures cost approximately $200 a day less than B&R's signature trips in the same region.
Bistro biking trips will launch in Europe this Spring, and include such desired destinations as: Tuscany, Puglia, Piemonte, Burgundy, Provence, Normandy and Catalonia. The trips are six days and five nights.
Butterfield and Robinson researchers have selected Bistro hotels carefully to include warm, welcoming family-run establishments with charm and character.
The meals are built around basic dishes and regional delicacies in favourite local establishments. And as on all B&R trips, the events provide deep, informative and memorable experiences thanks to the company of local experts and the Butterfield and Robinson guides. We know that young professionals sometimes like to be on their own schedule, and Bistro trips are flexible and unstructured, offering expert guidance coupled with the freedom to break away.
