As you might have heard, Lonely Planet just named Canada the top country to visit in 2017.

Our country’s exciting fusion food was among the many things highlighted by the travel guide publication, and you need just one look at enRoute magazine‘s freshly released Best New Restaurants list to see why.

Air Canada’s magazine November issue will feature the 10 best restaurants from coast to coast who’ve opened their doors in the past year.

This year’s top honour goes to Kissa Tanto in Vancouver, which blends Japanese and Italian cuisines in a space that resembles a 1960s Tokyo jazz bar.

Toronto’s Alo, a French restaurant, takes second place on the list, while literal P.E.I. hot spot FireWorks, which prepares all dishes over a live fire, rounds out the top three.
